Cooke presents collection of lenses at Camerimage 2017

Oct 30, 2017

Cooke Optics, the multi-award winning manufacturer of precision lenses for film and television, will bring a coveted collection of its latest lenses to this year’s Camerimage Festival, where the company will exhibit alongside Digital Sputnik.

On show will be the new S7/i Full Frame Plus lenses on a RED Digital 8k Vista Vision Camera. The Cooke S7/i Primes have a true T2.0 aperture and cover 35/Super 35mm, Full Frame and beyond. They have a common fixed front diameter of 110mm, with a focus drive gear of 140T x 0.8 mod and an iris drive gear of 134T x 0.8.

Cooke will also present the Panchro/i Classic range, a modern redesign of the original Speed Panchros that achieves the same look and feel but with newly designed housing and PL mounts. The Panchro/i Classic lenses are lightweight, making them ideal for handheld, drone and Steadicam® work.

In addition, attendees will be able to view Anamorphic/i and Anamorphic/i SF lenses on an Anamorphic sensor. The Anamorphic/i Prime range is proving very popular with cinematographers, adding anamorphic character to feature films A Man Called Ove and S.M.A.R.T. Chase, and television productions including Broadchurch (series 3), Fleabag and Valkyrien. The Anamorphic/i SF Prime set has all the same features as the standard Anamorphic/i lenses, with the addition of a special coating that adds even more anamorphic character to the image; these new lenses were used to shoot the acclaimed new feature film Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House, the forthcoming ABC television drama series The Crossing and the much-anticipated reworking of A Star Is Born.

The producers of Cooke Optics TV will also be interviewing leading cinematographers during the show for the channel’s expanding live and subscriber online audience.

Cooke lenses can also be seen on the Panasonic, RED Digital Cinema and Sony stands at Camerimage 2017
