Mar 16, 2021
Procam and Take 2 Films, will begin trading under the brand name Procam Take 2. All branches and divisions, including Procam Projects and Procam NY, are included in the rebrand which introduces a strong new visual identity, with an integrated website, and centralised business purpose.
Procam and Take 2 Films have worked side-by-side within the camera and grip rental market since Procam’s acquisition of Take 2 Films in 2016. Established in 1989 and 1999, both companies have significant experience supplying filming equipment to many of Britain’s best-loved television series and feature films. The creation of Procam Take 2 unites the strengths and assets of both companies, driving greater value for its clients.
“The consolidation of our brands has been a long time coming, and we are confident that this is the right time to combine our wealth of expertise and resources under one brand to offer productions an unparalleled service,” said John Brennan, CEO of Procam Take 2.
“Our new visual identity is a clear representation of who we are, and where we have come from. Using a structural frame to surround both brands, our new logo represents the building blocks of the company – forming strong foundations for future growth.”
The group has seen a significant growth in demand for high-end content across all branches, which has served as a motivator for the rebrand. This demand has been further accelerated in recent months, with leading streamers and broadcasters boosting UK production spend following a year of escalated content consumption throughout the pandemic.
“We’ve seen a strong and steady rise in rental requests for high-end content being filmed all over the UK, not just within London,” said Melanie Georgieva, business development director at Procam Take 2. “Everything we do is focused on delivering exceptional service 24/7, and by combining all of our assets we can further strengthen the support we offer our clients, wherever they are filming.”
Going forward as a united brand, Procam Take 2 will centralise focus on its core business offering of digital cinema and film equipment rental to feature film, high-end television (HETV), commercial and music video productions, in addition to cinematic multi-camera live filming support. The transition coincides with a relocation to a brand-new headquarters in Park Royal, London.
Procam Take 2’s bigger, purpose-built facility at Central Park has been customised for increased operational flexibility, allowing the company to streamline operations between departments and accommodate a greater number of hires, supporting the company’s plans for future business expansion. The site is conveniently located less than one mile from Procam Take 2’s studio partner, Garden Studios, a newly opened creative-hub comprising sound stages and state-of-the-art virtual production facilities.
Supporting Procam Take 2’s sustainability efforts, the new London HQ is BREEAM Excellent, EPC A rated, and one of the first sites the UK to offer energy saving technologies including photo voltaic panels, rainwater harvesting, and Air Source Heat Pumps to reduce carbon emissions by 25%.
“Procam Take 2 has a bright future ahead,” said John Brennan, CEO of Procam Take 2. “Our company has grown significantly over three decades in business, and it is important to realign our focus based on the demands of our clients. Coming together as one brand will strengthen our offering, and further solidify our position within the market as a leading supplier to the film and television industry.”
