Richard Bazley, of Bazley Films has won a prestigious Best Director Award from The New York Cinematography Awards. Emmy Nominated Director Bazley adds to his already impressive list of Awards.
Confines follows hot on the heels of Bazley’s last Award winning film Censure.
In Confines a tormented man traverses life’s journey burdened by the weight of the voices in his head and a world he struggles to understand. Pushed to the literal edge, he has a plan to silence them once and for all, but fate has other ideas.
“I wanted to further explore mental male mental health issues in this film and once again was lucky enough to have long term collaborator/screenwriter Neil Bason scribe what is almost a Shakesperian monologue,” said Bazley.
Lead Actor Luke Dejahang tackles the subject full on with an intense performance which is both psychological and physical. Dejahng has already been recognised with an award for Best Actor at The 7th Art Cannes Awards. Bazley’s right hand man and DOP John E Fry once again acted as Cinematographer and won Best Film Lighting at The Canadian Cinematography Awards for his exquisite work on “Confines”. Another favourite, Actress Vivien Taylor Co-Stars.
