Film London hosts studios and facilities showcase for independent producers
Jul 3, 2025
Film London hosted a showcase of London based studios and facilities offering deals and discounts to independent producers going for the Enhanced Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit for lower budget film on their next production.
Held at Central Hall Westminster, over 50 London-based producers attended to hear from a selection of London’s studios and facilities including 3 Mills Studios, Elstree Studios, Angels Costumes and Panalux.
Adrian Wootton OBE, Chief Executive of Film London said: “Film London is committed to supporting our city’s industry and its talent. Our first London Studios and Facilities showcase aims to make those all important connections between some of London’s studios and facilities and independent producers wanting to make the most of the new Enhanced Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit. We know that many independent producers have traditionally thought they couldn’t necessarily afford or get access to bigger studios, kit, costumes and facilities, but these possibilities are open to filmmakers, especially in light of the enhanced AVEC, and we hope today is the first step in repositioning and matchmaking. We’ve already seen significant interest and look forward to seeing these bespoke opportunities translate into a new range of independent London-made stories.”
The full line up of presenters included:
- Elstree Studios
- The Story Works
- Panalux
- Location Collective & OMA Studios Group
- West London Film Studios
- Troubadour Studios
- Angels Costumes
- Garden Studios
- RD Studios
- Sunbelt Rentals
- 3 Mills Studios
- Eastbrook Studios London

Eligible films are able to opt-in to claim enhanced Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC) at a rate of 53% on their qualifying expenditure. After tax this equates to an effective net rate of 39.75% (subject to the 80% cap).
