Cooke announce the appointment of David Hancock as CEO, effective 6 January 2025.
After four successful years as CEO, including expanding the business in new sectors that o er an exciting future for Cooke, Tim Pugh informed the board earlier in 2024 that he wished to retire. Since then, he has continued to lead the business in developing its future strategy whilst working with the board and Caledonia to support the transition to a new CEO.
David really understands the value of leadership in a business with a brand that’s as strong as Cooke. He has been a board member at Enviolo, a brand leader in premium e-bike components, having previously led the company as CEO including through its growth and sale to a new private equity investor. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in the US and Europe across sales, marketing distribution and operations.
Tim comments: “When I joined Cooke over four years ago, I found myself instantly feeling at home. Everyone in the industry, our partners and customers, and the huge affection in the market for the Cooke brand and products, have all played a central role in building that sentiment. It has been both an honour and a pleasure to be the company’s CEO”.
