Mar 7, 2024

Brompton Technology announces its participation in this year’s Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART), where it will co-exhibit with creative studio partner, Votion Studios, alongside AOTO and Disguise. Hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the four-day event takes place from March 11 to 14, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is recognised as one of the premier events in the global film industry and serves as Asia’s largest film and entertainment content marketplace.

With a primary focus on virtual production as a cornerstone in the evolution of visual storytelling, Brompton will join its industry partners in showcasing the key capabilities and latest features of its Tessera LED processing range to the burgeoning filmmaking community in Hong Kong. “Targeting filmmakers, content creators, and those in the broadcast industry, by demonstrating Brompton’s capabilities and features relevant to these sectors, our key objective is to establish an ecosystem where we can offer expertise and training, as well as foster effective collaborations with our existing and prospective customers,” says Pokman Chu, General Manager of China at Brompton Technology.

Brompton is sharing booth 1A-D14 with Hong Kong-based film production company Votions Studios, which is renowned for seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology and artistic vision. This has helped them redefine the boundaries of traditional digital content creation, unlocking limitless creative possibilities for directors, production companies, and creative agencies. Operating from its purpose-built studio, Votion employs pro-grade tools, workflows, and professionals to deliver exceptional work. At FILMART, the company will showcase XR and virtual production technologies in partnership with HKTDC, and its team of industry experts will be available to discuss the transformative power of virtual production and its applications in film, entertainment, and commercials.

The choice of Brompton Tessera LED processing brings numerous benefits to Votion Studios and its clients, including unparalleled image quality, precise colour reproduction, compatibility with many of the leading LED panels, and advanced control capabilities. “With Brompton’s LED processing technology, we can elevate the quality of our visual productions to new heights,” says Roger Proeis, Co-Founder of Votion Studios.

The other exhibiting partner, AOTO, will showcase its advanced LED display screens and solutions tailored for the cinematic and broadcasting industries, underscoring the company’s commitment to elevating visual storytelling through the use of innovative technology.

“At FILMART, we’re targeting sectors within the film industry, including VP and XR virtual live broadcasts, press conferences, and the advertising industry. AOTO’s goal is to demonstrate the versatility and impact of our LED solutions across various applications, from blockbuster movie productions to dynamic advertising campaigns,” states Wu Wei, VP at AOTO.

AOTO’s partnership with Brompton is encapsulated by Wei. “Partnering with Brompton puts us at the forefront of LED processing technology,” he says. “Their dependability, precise colour accuracy, and cutting-edge features enable us to push the limits of virtual production, delivering unprecedented visual experiences to our clients. The specific benefits of Tessera LED processors include high refresh rates, superior colour accuracy, and the ability to handle complex visual effects seamlessly, making them an integral part of our virtual production solutions.”

Continuing on the path of innovation, Disguise will showcase its VP 2.0, Disguise 2.5D workflow, and the integration with Cuebric and Volinga at this year’s FILMART. In addition to featuring solutions from Brompton Technology, AOTO, and Disguise, Votion Studios will also demonstrate leading technologies such as MRMC BOLT motion control, ARRI lighting, RED cameras, Cooke Optics, and other industry-leading solutions.

“We are thrilled to showcase the power of virtual production at FILMART,” exclaims Proeis. “It’s a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the limitless creative possibilities that can be achieved through this groundbreaking technology. At Votion Studios, we believe that virtual production is revolutionising the way stories are told, and we are excited to share our expertise and passion with industry professionals and enthusiasts.”

“With FILMART just around the corner, we can’t wait to join Votion Studios and our industry partners AOTO and Disguise in presenting some of the latest virtual production technologies that can be effectively utilised within filmmaking and broadcast industries,” concludes Chu. “We are also looking forward to connecting with our existing and prospective clients, so be sure you stop by the booth 1A-D14 and request a demo!”
