Feb 11, 2019
The Favourite walked away with the most awards at this year’s BAFTAs with seven, but it was Roma and DP Alfonso Cuarón who took the award for ‘Best Cinematography’ as one of four successes for his semi-biographical take on his upbringing.
Cuarón, who also individually also won Best Director for Roma, edged out Robbie Ryan BSC ISC – The Favourite, ASC Award winner Łukasz Żal PSC – Cold War, Newton Thomas Sigel ASC – Bohemian Rhapsody and Linus Sandgren FSF ASC – First Man for the ‘Cinematography’ gong at the awards ceremony held Sunday 10 February 2019.
