DP James Friend BSC won the 2017 BAFTA Craft Photography & Lighting: Fiction Award for his work on BBC Studios/Bandit Television/BBC One drama Rillington Place.
He was nominated alongside Adriano Goldman for Left Bank Pictures/Netflix’s The Crown (episode five), Ole Birkeland for The Forge/C4’s National Treasure, and Seamus McGarvey BSC ASC for House Of Tomorrow/Netflix’s Black Mirror ‘Nosedive’ episode.
The Photography: Factual award was won by Planet Earth II (Cities), photographed by John Aitchison, Rob Whitworth and Mark MacEwen.
