Date revealed for 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards

BAFTA has announced that the EE BAFTA Film Awards will take place in London on Sunday 19 February 2023.
The EE BAFTA Film Awards are BAFTA’s highest film honours, celebrating and rewarding excellence in film. The full timeline and eligibility details for the Film Awards 2023 will be announced in due course.
In 2022, the BAFTA Awards celebrated the very best in film over the past year. Greig Fraser ASC ACS came out on top in the Cinematography category for his work on Dune, with strong competition from Dan Laustsen ASC DFF (Nightmare Alley), Linus Sandgren FSF ASC (No Time to Die), Ari Wegner ACS (The Power of the Dog) and Bruno Delbonnel ASC AFC (The Tragedy of MacBeth).
Elsewhere, Jane Campion won Best Director for The Power of The Dog; Joanna Scanlon and Will Smith won Leading Actress and Leading Actor; Ariana DeBose and Troy Kotsur won Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor; Belfast was named Outstanding British Film; Jeymes Samuel won for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer and Lashana Lynch was awarded the EE Rising Star Award following her role in No Time to Die.

BAFTA’s year-round programme of learning events and initiatives includes Elevate, Young Game Designers (YGD) and Breakthrough – which is currently open for applications in the UK and USA.
