Digital Orchard Foundation presents The Talent Bar at BSC Expo
Apr 7, 2022
A welcoming space for both new and established filmmakers seeking advice and guidance, Digital Orchard Foundation will once again be hosting the Talent Bar at this year’s BSC Expo.
The Talent Bar is designed to help those most underrepresented in the industry move forward in the camera and post production departments, as well as helping new filmmakers navigate the industry and Expo through on-site resources, networking opportunities and expert advice and guidance sessions.
This year’s partners include 104 Films, 6ft From The Spotlight, BEAM Network, BECTU, Creative Access, Film & TV Charity, illuminatrix, Post Super, Primetime, The British Blacklist, Women Behind The Camera and is supported by the BSC Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as media partners British Cinematographer and Cinegirl.Â
The Talent Bar will run on Friday 8th April and Saturday 9th April, stand E10 (near the registration desk) at BSC Expo, Evolution London.
The bar is open to all – whether you are seeking advice and support to progress your career; are looking for resources on responsible recruitment and supporting crew; or simply wanting to make new connections, industry professionals will be available throughout both days to provide information and guidance.
Through pre-arranged one-to-one advice sessions with film and TV industry experts including DOPs and Camera Operators, the Talent Bar aims to further aid those who identify as being from underrepresented groups and those who are facing barriers due to; age, race, sexual orientation, gender, disability (visible and non-visible), socioeconomic background and/or caring responsibilities.
