BSC Award nominees for Best Cinematography in a Feature Film revealed

The BSC has announce the five cinematographers nominated for the 2021 Best Cinematography in a Feature Film Award (sponsored by MBSE UK).

The nominees are:

▪️SEAMUS MCGARVEY BSC ASC ISC for CYRANO
▪️GREIG FRASER ACS ASC for DUNE
▪️ARI WEGNER ACS for THE POWER OF THE DOG
▪️BRUNO DELBONNEL AFC ASC for THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH
▪️JANUSZ KAMINSKI for WEST SIDE STORY

The winner will be announced at our 2022 Awards on 26 February in London.

This is Greig Fraser’s second BSC nomination, he was previously nominated for Lion. This is Janusz Kaminski’s fifth BSC nomination, he was previously nominated for Bridge of Spies, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Saving Private Ryan, and won the society’s award for Schindler’s List. This is Bruno Delbonnel’s fourth nomination, he was previously nominated for Darkest Hour, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Amelie. This is Ari Wegner’ as first nomination, she is the first female cinematographer to be nominated in this category. This is Seamus McGarvey’s fifth nomination, he was nominated for Bad Times at the El Royale and Atonement. He won the society’s award for Noctural Animals and Anna Karenina.
