Raindance launches #SixtySpookySeconds short film competition

This year, Raindance has launched the annual halloween short film competition early.

You have the opportunity to have your halloween-themed short film screened at the Raindance Film Festival. It has been a tough year, but now with filmmaking more accessible than it has been in over a year, they are giving extra time for filmmakers to create the strongest film they can.

How to Take Part:

1) Shoot a 60-second horror film.

2) Use the theme of … Spooky! What is spooky to you? Is there a Halloween short you’ve been dying to make? Be creative!

3) Post the completed film on Instagram, tagging @raindancefilmfestival and including the hashtag #SixtySpookySeconds

Submissions close at midnight, October 25th, 2021. Winners announced October 27th.

One entry per person.

Submissions under 60 seconds will be accepted, however, submissions over 60 seconds will be ineligible. Opening titles and closing credits are included in your runtime.

What you’ll win

The top 5 films will be screened at the House of Raindance.

The winners will receive:

1st Place: Your #SixtySpookySeconds film will be screened at Raindance Off-Competition, x1 Raindance Digital Festival Pass + x2 Raindance Pro Membership
2nd Place: 2 Raindance Pro Membership, £100 Raindance voucher
3rd Place: 2 Raindance Pro Memberships worth £200
4th Place:
Prizes are fixed and judges decisions are final.

Everyone who enters the competition will receive: 10% off any Raindance course.
