MRMC to showcase latest kit at at US events

May 30, 2025

Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), a Nikon company, will showcase its latest camera robotics and motion control systems at two major events this June.

First up is Cine Gear Expo LA (6–7 June), where MRMC will return to stand 007 alongside Camera Control. Demonstrations will include the newly launched Bolt PTR, a compact, high-precision head for the Bolt and Bolt X Cinebots. Capable of independent pan, tilt, and roll movements, it offers speeds of up to 360°/s and acceleration up to 1000°/s². The design suits tight spaces such as car interiors and miniature sets, with an integrated slip ring allowing continuous roll and camera power delivery.

Also on display will be the Cinebot Max, a portable motion control arm with PushMoco technology for intuitive manual positioning. With a 1.75m reach, 20kg payload, and 3.2m maximum height, it supports a range of use cases from tabletop filming to live-action sequences.

From MRMC’s Slidekamera line, the stand will feature the Atlas Moco – Bullhead kit and the Orion Slider. These lightweight, modular systems—shown with RED’s Komodo X and Nikon’s NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ—are built for precise, professional camera movement and are compatible with both MRMC and third-party heads.

Following Cine Gear, MRMC will make its InfoComm debut in Orlando, Florida, from 7–13 June at stand 5386, in partnership with RED Digital Cinema. The joint stand will focus on integrated solutions for studio and broadcast workflows.

MRMC will highlight the Studiobot LT, designed for fixed or semi-permanent installations. With 10kg payload support, the robot offers native broadcast lens control, safety features, and flexible mounting options for floor, ceiling, or track use. It outputs FreeD data for virtual production and integrates easily via API with studio automation systems.

Also on display are the Quiet Rail System (QRS) and Light Lift System (LLS). QRS is a modular, low-noise rail for studio or portable setups, supporting MRMC and third-party PTZ heads. The LLS adds cost-effective vertical motion, suitable for various shot types in both live and virtual environments.

Several systems will be demonstrated with RED’s latest cameras, including the Komodo X, underscoring technical synergies between MRMC and its Nikon Group partner.

“We’re looking forward to reconnecting with industry professionals in North America,” said Assaff Rawner, CEO of MRMC. “These events are ideal opportunities to show how our technology is evolving to meet the demands of film and broadcast environments alike.”
