Procam Take 2 opens equipment rental hub in Leeds
Oct 6, 2022
Procam Take 2 , Europe’s leading camera, lighting and grip rental facility, has further expanded its UK reach with the opening of a cinematography equipment hub at Prime Studios in Leeds.
The equipment rental hub will support PT2 partners, MetFilm School, at its newly launched Leeds campus and provide Yorkshire’s thriving film and television sector with a new local cinematography equipment supplier. Procam Take 2 has already serviced several long-form productions within the region, including upcoming feature films Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose, What Remains of Us and Upgraded.
Leeds is Procam Take 2’s fifth UK rental location, joining London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Clients filming in the North of England will benefit from PT2’s full catalogue of cinematography equipment, grip, and lighting packages, as well as its dedicated nationwide support network.
John Brennan, CEO of Procam Take 2, said: “Through our partnership with MetFilm School, we provide aspiring filmmakers with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they require to advance their careers. We look forward to continuing that support at the Leeds Campus. In recent years, Yorkshire’s film and television industry has flourished, and we are excited to bring Procam Take 2’s expertise and extensive equipment inventory to the region. Producers can now rely on a local company to provide a premium rental service on a much broader scale, with backup support all over the country.”
Jonny Persey, Director of MetFilm School, said: “Our partnership with Procam Take 2 over the last four years has allowed us to offer students teaching and learning, as well as direct production experience, with the very same camera, lighting, audio and grip equipment that is used on commercial film and television projects. As we extend our provision to a new campus in Leeds, we are delighted to be able to do so in partnership with John, Paul, and the team at Procam Take 2, whose support, advice, and expertise are immensely valued by students and staff alike.”
