Rental house Pixipixel welcomes on board Evie Barraclough as a camera technician apprentice.
The new Camera Technicians Apprenticeship Programme launched for the first time this year, offering school leavers aged 16-19 an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the industry, complete a Level 3 qualification and ultimately become fully trained camera technicians.
Michael Rosario, camera floor manager at Pixipixel commented: “I am delighted to welcome Evie to Pixipixel. We are very pleased the apprenticeship for camera technicians has been launched and recognise the programme as an important way to encourage and support talented young people. We wish Evie the very best of luck as she starts her exciting new career at Pixipixel.”
Evie has started her apprenticeship in August with a visit to Pixipixel’s office to meet everyone. Following a two-week block training at the London Screen Academy (LSA), Evie joins the rental house working full-time at with a day release to attend classes with the course provider.
Barraclough concluded: “I am really happy to join Pixipixel and I look forward to work alongside the experienced camera team.”
