New broadcast and 4K-compatible lenses from Fujinon
May 9, 2016
Fujifilm Corporation has announced the Fujinon XK6x20 as the latest addition to its line-up of 4K-compatible digital cinema camera zoom lenses. Equipped with a PL mount, the most common format for cinema cameras, the XK6x20 is a standard zoom lens that delivers T3.5 brightness for the entire zoom range from 20mm to 120mm.
Fujifilm initially released Fujinon Cine Lenses, compatible with digital cinema cameras, in 2002. Since then, it has provided high-resolution, high-quality lenses for digital cinema camera customers in various production sites in the cinema and broadcasting industries.
The XK6x20 digital cinema camera zoom lens offers high optical performance compatible with 4K cameras. The XK6x20 is equipped with a detachable drive unit for electric zooming and focusing that is a popular function with existing products. It also features 0.8mm gear pitch for compatibility with standard cine accessories.
Fujinon lenses are recognised for their advanced optical performance. Tapping into its optical, high-precision processing and assembly technologies that have been nurtured over the years, Fujifilm has also announced the launch of the new 2/3” Fujinon UA13x4.5″ wide zoom lens, capable of shooting at an ultra-wide-angle of 4.5mm for use with 4K cameras, and the new 2/3” Fujinon UA80x9 1.2 EXT high-magnification zoom lens that can achieve a telephoto focal length of 864mm with a 1.2x extender. Both of these products are high-performance zoom lenses capable of obtaining excellent image quality with a resolution exceeding 4K, high contrast, and high dynamic range.
