Sister companies Transvideo and Aaton Digital have announced the appointment of Danny Hallett as sales manager. He joins from a ten-year stint at Tiffen International, starting as office manager before moving on to help grow Tiffen Motion Picture Filter sales as UK sales manager, and then European sales manager. He was directly involved in the roll-out programme of Tiffen’s IRND filters when the ARRI Alexa launched, and was more recently involved with the technical field testing of the Tiffen NAT ND range.
Working with Robin Thwaites, he gained approved instructor status within the Steadicam community alongside Garrett Brown, Jerry Holway and Chris Fawcett, running and organising international workshops. Along with filters, he sold a great many Steadicam rigs and accessories to new and veteran operators, along with full specification systems into large national broadcast institutions. His involvement in upselling equipment, such as Transvideo Cine Monitors, RF Links and accessories, led him to take the path to Transvideo.
