Entries are now open for the BFDG Production Design Awards 2021
Oct 1, 2021
The BFDG Production Design Awards are the highlight of the British Film Designers Guild event year and an opportunity to celebrate the professionalism, creativity and skill of the Art Department with their members, valued supporters and friends from the industry. Awards are given for outstanding work on film, TV and commercials released during 2021.
2021 also marks the 75th Anniversary of the BFDG so, despite the set backs and hardship in the Film and TV Industry caused by COVID-19 over the last 18 months, this will be an extra special celebration for the Guild.
Sonia Klaus, BFDG chairperson said: “The past 18 months have been difficult for so many people in the film and television industry so we are so pleased to be able to have a live event to celebrate and honour of the amazing talent within the British Art Department and 75 years of the British Film Designers Guild”.
The event this year will take place in the Ballroom at “the World’s first super boutique hotel’ The Londoner, which opened its doors for the first time in September this year. Situated in the heart of London’s cinema and entertainment district it perfectly represents the BFDG’s community of creative talent.
They’ll also welcome back film critic and broadcaster Mark Kermode to host the awards. Kermode now has a firm association with the BFDG having hosted in 2018 and 2019 as well as making an appearance in our 2020 virtual awards.
