Deadline approaching for applications to ScreenSkills’ HETV Leaders of Tomorrow 2022

The application deadline for ScreenSkills’ Leaders of Tomorrow programme is 7 August.
The career progression programme accepts mid-level crew identified by industry colleagues as future leaders in HETV and champions them through mentoring, masterclasses, bespoke training and part-funded placements over three years. Read more about the programme and its first cohort of leaders. You will need an industry nominator to take part.
Two of the current cohort will be joined by ScreenSkills’ Hannah Green and programme champion and Head of Production, Drama, at Sky Studios, Amanda Wilkie Sweeney, for a discussion with Broadcast Editor, Chris Curtis, this week. Keep an eye on our website and socials for more info.
Emmy nominations for Skills Fund contributors
A string of television shows that contributed to the High-end TV Skills Fund have been nominated for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, receiving nods across a range of on and off-screen categories.

A number of virtual production tenders close for applications on 28 July, including training days for new entrants, VP taster sessions, VP open days for HETV Trainee Finder and VP introductory sessions.
Leadership and management training – freelancer sessions
Leadership and management essentials for HETV freelancers offers guidance on how heads of department and managers can get the best from their teams, work inclusively and help them address underperformance. Applications close on Friday 29 July.
