Brompton Technology announce the appointment of Sebastian Kanabar as Technical Sales Consultant, focussing on the broadcast and film industries.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Chiswick, UK, Kanabar brings over two decades of experience in senior technical, sales and product management roles at Prokit Europe, Holdan (part of the Midwich Group), NM Productions, and Pixel Engine.
With a passion for technology and creativity he has had the opportunity to work with many well-known companies including Panavision, Sky, NBC Universal and CNN, as well as leading lighting and camera manufacturers like ARRI. Most recently, he was technical director at a UK-based VFX company, handling projects for high end technology and automotive brands.
“Working in a variety of roles has given me an understanding of the entire production cycle,” he explains. “I wanted to delve deeper into product management and business development, as that’s where my true passion is. When the opportunity arose with Brompton, a company I knew well from my previous work, I was thrilled to join them!”
In his role as a Technical Sales Consultant at Brompton, Kanabar is keen to leverage his existing contacts within the broadcast and film industry, as well as establishing new connections.
“Brompton has unique selling points that no other LED processing manufacturer possesses,” he notes. “I will be supporting Adam [Callaway, Global Lead, Virtual Production & Broadcast] and Patrick [Goodden, Technical Sales Manager] on the business development front, as well as working with Brompton’s large-scale broadcast clients in future.
“There are some incredible people working at the company, and everyone shares the same mentality in terms of dedication to Brompton’s customers and partners, as well as the forward-looking ethos.”
As part of the company’s sales team, Kanabar will report to Director of Sales, Lotta Schiefer.
“Sebastian’s valuable experience in the broadcast and film industries will help us expand further into these markets,” Schiefer concludes. “His technical mindset, coupled with a willingness to always go the extra mile for the customers makes him a great fit for the team.”
Sebastian looks forward to attending NAB2024 in Las Vegas and is excited about meeting broadcast and virtual production customers at the Brompton Technology booth C2446.
