As the Guild of Television Camera Professionals (GTC) celebrates its 50th anniversary, British Cinematographer is delighted to mark this momentous occasion by becoming its latest media partner.
As part of this exciting new partnership, all GTC members will receive a year’s free digital subscription to British Cinematographer magazine, including access to the publication’s vast library of back issues, and an exclusive print subscription discount.
Founded in 1972, the GTC is an independent, international craft organisation for professional TV, digital, craft and camera crew. It aims to facilitate excellence, education, knowledge, and networking for its 1,600 members. The International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers (IAWF) is affiliated to the GTC.
The organisation’s 50th anniversary will be recognised with a special event held at STEAM – The Museum of the GWR in Swindon on 27 November. The prestigious GTC Awards will also be presented during the celebrations.
“British Cinematographer is delighted to announce its new media partnership with the GTC, which will see the association and the publication working closely together over the coming years,” said Stuart Walters, British Cinematographer’s publisher. “With the GTC and British Cinematographer working in collaboration, we are confident the partnership will ensure our readers will have access to insightful editorial covering the work of the GTC, along with TV, digital and film camera crew, and the wider filmmaking community, while raising the profile of GTC members.”
Graham Maunder, Chair of the GTC, said: “GTC members will also benefit from access to British Cinematographer’s print and digital content including its ever-evolving print publication, online news, e-bulletins, social media coverage and newly launched video-on-demand player. This will keep them informed, inspired, and up to date with the latest industry developments.”
