Blackmagic URSA 12K Ups Frame Rates
Nov 11, 2020
Blackmagic Design has upgraded its 12K shooter URSA Mini Pro only weeks after launching it. Notably, the firmware upgrade boosts options for shooting with higher frame rates. 12K at 60p was already an impressive achievement, but now you can shoot 2.4:1 12K at up to 75fps, with 8K now being possible at 120fps.
This update also adds Blackmagic RAW stills capture, so you can better capture 80MP reference frames for colour grading and continuity.
In addition, there’s support for the URSA Mini Pro 12K broadcast lens connector to power and control cine-servo zoom lenses. The Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder now supports 12K LUT’s and new 12K exposure metering.
