MBS Lighting add the LRX Robotic Illumination System
Nov 26, 2017
Pinewood MBS Lighting has added the LRX Robotic Illumination System to its inventory, due to its rising popularity, especially on large scale shoots where quick, simple access to precise control is needed.
The range of automated fixtures includes 12/18kw PAR ‘Singles’ and the 23.4kW Scorpion, all featuring complete remote management over pan, tilt and intensity, plus focus on the PAR Singles.
With built in robotics, the LRX system can be quickly, safely and securely rigged with control either via handheld remote, DMX or wireless interface. It is fully-compatible with the majority of aerial lift systems and standard truss types.
Pinewood MBS technical director, Steve Howard said “The LRX is a tried and tested system that delivers both on quality of light and levels of control. We know it’s hugely popular with crews worldwide so we’re delighted to have added it to our inventory.”
Having supported a number of significant shoots, both in the studio and on location, Pinewood MBS Lighting continues to steadily grow its list of production credits. Recent titles include: Avengers: Infinity War with cinematographer Trent Opaloch and gaffers Jeff Murrell and Pat Sweeney; Christopher Robin with cinematographer Matthias Koenigswieser and gaffer David Smith; and Bohemian Rhapsody with cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel ASC and gaffer Lee Walters.
