Mission Digital reveals raft of new appointments and promotions

Mission Digital has announced several new appointments, as well as internal promotions, as part of its revamped digital workflow services offer for feature film and high-end TV.
These changes include Lawrence Gould as chairman; Kim Honeyman as head of production; Ingrid Civet as senior producer and talent development lead; Rosie Goodwin as producer and marketing lead; James Ian Gray as digital workflow lead; and Joe Mackenzie as business development lead.
Lawrence Gould comes to Mission after working with several startups in their growth stage, having established a successful career at Getty Images as their CFO and taking them through to their IPO. Not only does he bring solid financial and commercial understanding, he also brings a deep understanding of the creative sector gained from his experience at Getty.
“I am delighted to join this great team, and looking forward to helping them develop and grow exciting new digital workflow solutions as the industry moves towards more cloud based solutions,” commented Gould upon joining Mission.
Kim Honeyman joins from her time at boutique facility X2X, which followed her appointments at Technicolor and Company 3. “What struck me about Mission is how everything is built on solid technical foundations, and that Mission has a clear passion for technical excellence,” Honeyman explained. “Everything is designed to scale, meeting a production’s requirements of any size. The team and ethos of the company that is in place adds so much value to the ability to service a production and offer that bespoke one-on-one service. I am thrilled to be able to bring my experience and take this company to the next stage.”
This series of appointments prepares Mission for taking the business to the next stage of growth to handle projects of ever-increasing profile. As well as hiring fresh faces, they are also keen to nurture their existing talent, both in-house and within their wider talent pool, whom the company engages in training.

Recent work
Principal photography for Guy Ritchie’s upcoming action feature The Covenant took place in Spain, which led Mission to prepare a near set digital dailies solution, run by senior lab operator Niall Todd, allowing processing to take place locally in Spain, and even facilitating a move from Alicante to Zaragoza. Alongside the Lab, Mission DIT Jacob Robinson and data manager David Buckley were also on set meaning Mission was able to oversee the workflow.
With production commencing prior to the pandemic, the workflow for Amazon Studios’ new drama The Power differed greatly due to the shoot spanning across several continents including Europe, Africa and North America. When in London, Mission DIT Nick Everett performed on set Livegrade and downloaded footage to hand over to a Mission-based digital dailies lab. Whilst shooting abroad, Mission collaborated with local DITs and facilities in order to service from its Shepperton Studios facility. This allowed everything to continue being processed in London each night and match the workflow from the UK leg for consistency.
