Elstree Studios Creates More Space
Jul 11, 2017
To satisfy demand for more workshops and production offices Elstree Studios has vacated some of its storage space to accommodate more productions. This last year has been a record year for Elstree Studios, with the stages in high demand for both film and television productions. The alliance with BBC Studioworks has been very successful, allowing Elstree Studios and BBC Studioworks to offer large stages for major TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent. The newly created backlot and other stages have been used to produce the highly acclaimed Drama series The Crown, whilst Big Brother have expanded their village with two more stages and a re-vamped auditorium.
Permission has been granted for Elstree Studios to build a new stage and the company is also investigating other areas that may be used directly for production space, including more stages.
Managing Director of Elstree Studios, Roger Morris, said ‘we already have clients who wish to use the first new stage once it is built. I hope it will become the best multipurpose film and TV stage in the UK.
Elstree Studios is filled with a diverse range of productions including, high end drama, feature films, tour rehearsals, commercials, reality shows, panel shows and don’t forget constant ratings winner Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother which now have their own village at the Studios.
We have many returning clients with successful series and films including Humans, the big drama hit for Channel 4, and Grantchester, plus feature films such as Paddington and The Danish Girl.
