Bubble Agency promotes Louise Wells to managing director

Jan 25, 2023

Bubble Agency, the global PR, marketing and events specialist for the media and entertainment technology and services sectors, announced that Louise Wells has been promoted to Managing Director, effective immediately.

Following the move, owner and founder Sadie Groom undertakes the role of CEO and will continue to focus on business development and fostering relationships in the industry, as well as Bubble’s international expansion, growth into new sectors and the development of additional services. The leadership change comes as Bubble Agency recorded its largest-ever year of growth and a series of new client wins including Ross Video and Testronic.

As Managing Director, Wells takes over the day-to-day running of Bubble Agency, including all operational aspects of the business in the UK and US. She is responsible for heading up client services and overseeing Bubble’s team of Account Directors and its Senior Marketing Director who runs the agency’s marketing services team. Additionally, Wells will work alongside Bubble’s Talent Manager on the development of employees and the recruitment of future Bubbles. Working with the company’s Head of Americas, she will also assist with the expansion of Bubble’s presence in the Americas. Passionate about the media and entertainment industry, Wells will continue to attend international trade shows including NAB, IBC and Sportel and regional industry events and awards ceremonies.

On her promotion, Wells said, “It is an incredible honour and privilege to be appointed Managing Director. Over the past six years, Bubble has grown so much and that is down to the amazing team we have built and the incredible support of our fantastic clients and industry connections. I am thankful for the trust and autonomy Sadie has given me over the past six years and look forward to expanding Bubble even further with her in the years to come.”

Groom added, “I would like to congratulate Louise on her well-deserved promotion and for supporting me over the years to grow and develop Bubble into the success it is today. It has been an incredible journey so far, resulting in 2022 being our best-ever year for growth, and Louise’s dedication to Bubble and our fantastic industry has proved immeasurable since she joined the company. I am looking forward to working with her as we move to the next phase of the business.”

Wells’ career in B2B media and entertainment technology PR began 17 years ago, 15 of which she has spent agency-side. Joining Bubble Agency in January 2017 as an Account Director, she was promoted to Associate Director at the end of 2019 and has been instrumental in building Bubble’s talented team, implementing procedures and processes and overseeing client services. During her time agency-side, Wells has worked with many leading companies in the media and entertainment sector including Ateme, Avid, Cinesite, CVP, Deluxe, dock10, EMG, Ross Video, Signiant and Telstra.

In addition to Wells’ promotion, Nikita Panchal has been promoted to Senior Marketing Director. Panchal has played a major role in growing the company’s digital marketing team and heading up its roster of clients who use the agency for its ‘No Headcount Required’ marketing services. Additionally, Kelli Neve-Read is promoted to Account Director and Harveen Dhanoa to Senior Marketing Executive.

Bubble Agency also recently hired Emma Pritchard as Talent Manager. Pritchard had been working with Bubble for the past three years in a freelance capacity and now joins the team to take responsibility for attracting, developing, engaging and retaining top talent at Bubble.
