Following on from the success of the recently released Diffusion Comparison Tool, London-based cinematographer Richard William Preisner has shared another new and free resource for cinematographers and filmmakers – the Lens & Filter Library (LFL).

In this online library Preisner shares the many lens and filter tests that he has done throughout his career with fellow cinematographers and filmmakers. The LFL is a resource to help cinematographers decide on which lenses and filters to select for their upcoming projects. It will be updated regularly as RWP conducts new tests, with already many filters, full frame and super 35 lens tests in the pipeline.

The first lenses available at the LFL are the Cooke S8i Primes shot on an Alexa Mini LF. These tests were kindly facilitated by James Irwin at One Stop Films in East London. The LFL is designed with ease of use and access in mind, and can be saved as a shortcut on both IOS and Android devices.
