Phedon Papamichael ASC GSC’s film, Brighton 4th won Best International Narrative Feature Film at the 2021 Tribeca Festival.
Brighton 4th also took home the Best Actor (Levan Tediashvili) and Best Screenplay (Boris Frumin) in an International Narrative Feature Film award respectively.
Director of photography Phedon Papamichael, ASC GSC said “I enjoy occasionally breaking out from the Hollywood system and working on the smaller individual cinematic gems that come my way.
“Brighton 4th is one of these rare occasions, where I meet a director (Levan Koguashvili) and sense a special talent of character storytelling and a unique visual sensitivity. That combined with a raw cast of mostly amateur actors and the real, intense locations, makes for some special cinematic moments.”
Papamichael concluded: I’m so happy to have been part of this endeavour and I’m proud this small film from the country of Georgia found its spotlight in NYC at the Tribeca Film Festival.”
