Wildscreen Festival make additional programme announcement

Wildscreen Festival have announced more speakers for this year’s festival, including one of their many impressive headline speakers, Tom McDonald, EVP of global and factual for National Geographic.

McDonald oversees a broad slate of programming from Documentary to Investigation, History to Natural History for National Geographic & Disney +.

Previously, he was managing director of Factual for BBC Studios Productions overseeing a slate of award winning programming and teams across the UK including the BBC’s Natural History Unit.

Before then, he spent seven years in BBC Commissioning, latterly as head of specialist factual where he and his team commissioned the BBC’s landmark Natural History series Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II, Dynasties, Seven Worlds One Planet, A Perfect Planet & The Green Plant as well as BAFTA winners including The Yorkshire Ripper Files and Muslims Like Us.

In his keynote address, Tom will discuss the state of natural world storytelling industry in current times.
