The BSC Short Film Cinematography Competition 2021 is open for entries

The BSC is expecting this year’s event to take place at The Regent Street Cinema in London. If the COVID-19 situation changes then they will run the event online.

Criteria for entry:

  • Submission is free
  • Films to be a maximum of 20 minutes
  • A shortened ‘cinematographers cut’ may be submitted provided it retains enough of the ‘essence’ of the film.
  • Films to have been produced within the past 18 months of the closing date.
  • Films will be judged by full members of the BSC who will take particular notice of the creativity and an appreciation of the art of cinema, and how the lighting, composition and camera movement have been used to enhance the story and mood of the film.
  • Submission deadline 31st July 2021

BSC Student Short Film Cinematography Award

All Student and Graduates (up to 18 months after graduating) from UK Institutions are eligible and do not need to be BSC Club Members.

BSC Short Film Cinematography Award

Entries from drama, documentaries and Stop-Motion animation projects are all welcome. Previous BSC Club member winners are not eligible to submit again.

Prizes

Winner of BSC Student Short Film Cinematography Award will receive the prize of an ALEXA Mini and Master Anamorphic or Signature Prime lenses plus a couple of Orbiters for one week.
