The nominees for the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced.

Black tragicomedy The Banshees of Inisherin, directed by Martin McDonagh and lensed by Ben Davis BSC, leads nominations with eight nods.

Close behind is Everything Everywhere All at Once with six nominations, while Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans and the much-anticipated Babylon, featuring Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt, picked up five nods apiece.

The nominees were selected by 96 members and – for the first time – 103 international voters, a group representing 62 different countries and who came from international industry organisations, top foreign film festivals, and journalism professionals.

Combined with the current membership, the total Golden Globe Awards voting body is now 52% female, 51.8% racially and ethnically diverse, with 19.6% Latinx, 12.1% Asian, 10.1% Black, and 10.1% Middle Eastern.

The ceremony will be broadcast on 10 January 2023 at 8pm ET from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
