We’ve gone behind the scenes at the Barbie Dreamhouse (or the Mojo Dojo Casa House, if you prefer) to find out how cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto ASC AMC jumped at the chance to make Greta Gerwig’s vision of “authentic artificiality” a reality.
Prieto shares his approach to framing in Barbie Land (“in line with how a kid would look at a toy”), helping Gerwig transition to shooting digitally, and his emblematic choice of colour palette.
