Soho Media Club and Dockside Vaults collaborate for new series of fireside chats
Jan 16, 2024
Situated within the historic vaulted cellars of the Grade II listed Ivory House at St Katharine Dock, Dockside Vaults will host a new series of intimate fireside chats, called “I Am…”, featuring guests including award-winning filmmakers Femi Oyeniran and Amma Asante.
Intimate, compelling and inspiring, “I Am…” is a series of interviews with influential media personalities. Guests open up to talk about some of the biggest changes and challenges they have had to overcome, how this has punctuated their lives and what drives them.
The first event in the series is I Am Femi Oyeniran and takes place on 7th February 2024 at 6.30pm.
Femi’s work as an actor and filmmaker has helped to define Black British film and British youth culture in the past couple of decades. Using London as a backdrop and authenticity as a barometer. Femi’s work shines a light on subcultural movements in London’s music, fashion and art scenes, way before they enter the mainstream.
Award-winning screenwriter and director, Amma Asante is also confirmed as a guest later in the year, with many more exciting names to be announced.
