RTS announces nominees for Student Television Awards 2025

Britain’s leading forum for television and media, the Royal Television Society (RTS), has revealed the nominations for the RTS Student Television Awards 2025, sponsored by 4Skills – Channel 4’s nationwide training and development strategy. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 13th June at the IET, Savoy Place, with rapper, author and broadcaster Guvna B returning as host.

The 24 competitive categories highlight the outstanding audiovisual work produced by undergraduate and postgraduate students in the UK, and 20 stand-out institutions have received nominations for this year’s awards. The National Film and Television School led the way with 14 nominations, taking all three nods for the Postgraduate Animation, Postgraduate Drama, and Postgraduate Entertainment and Comedy Drama categories. City, University of London also received several nominations including four nods in the Postgraduate Factual – Long Form and Postgraduate Journalism categories, garnering all three nominations in the latter. Across the undergraduate and postgraduate categories, Falmouth University, University of Salford, Leeds Art University, University of Leeds, and Queen’s University Belfast all received multiple nominations.

The RTS Student Television awards are designed to highlight the talent, potential and enthusiasm of students across the UK, celebrating the exemplary audiovisual work they create.
