The Royal Television Society (RTS), Britain’s leading forum for television and related media, has opened entries for the RTS Programme Awards 2025. The Awards, presented in partnership with Cast & Crew, will take place on Tuesday 25 March 2025 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House.

Across the 29 competitive categories, the RTS Programme Awards recognise programmes and performances that have significantly contributed to the evolving television industry and UK audiences. In particular, the juries look to identify and celebrate content which is high quality, offers originality, contributes to the development of new genres, shows impact on audiences, and showcases technical and production excellence. The closing date for submissions is Friday 6 December 2024 and nominations will be announced in early March.

For 2025, the Single Drama and Limited Series categories have been combined into a single category, including self-contained drama series with a closed-ended story arc as well as Single Dramas.

Kenton Allen, Chair of the RTS Programme Awards, said: ““The RTS Programme Awards are always bursting with talent and showcases the boundary-pushing, outstanding content and incredible innovation in all areas of story-telling, that continuously captivates viewers around the world. We are phenomenally excited to celebrate the best of UK television with support from industry leaders Cast & Crew. It has been an incredible year for our industry thus far, despite the various challenges we all face, and we look forward to the huge variety of entries and celebrating their achievements at next year’s ceremony.”

Entries are now accepted via the RTS website, and all programmes and performances should have been aired, whether by broadcast or online streaming, between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024. In line with all RTS awards, the society stresses the need for all organisations to show awareness when selecting entries and recognise diversity in the industry and broader community.
