Robe has unveiled a new High CRI Format (HCF) engine for its iFORTE LTX fixture, “designed with the needs of film and television professionals firmly in mind”.
The iFORTE LTX has already proven popular for its long-throw performance, control features and IP65-rated design.
Now, with the addition of the transferable HCF (high colour fidelity) engine, the fixture “enters a new league of colour precision”, Robe has said, tailored specifically for cinematic environments where skin tones, subtle hues and accurate colour rendering are critical.
Offering a “significantly enhanced” CRI and TLCI value, the HCF engine ensures a fuller spectrum and more natural output, crucial for on-camera work and helping post-production workflows.

The HCF engine was developed in direct response to feedback from film lighting professionals who relied on the iFORTE LTX for output and reliability but needed increased colour accuracy for camera work. This upgrade promises to bridge that gap without compromising on performance or durability.
Robe said in a press release: “With production timelines tightening and visual standards rising, tools like the HCF-equipped iFORTE LTX help crews work faster without sacrificing the image.
“It’s a welcome addition for those lighting everything from high-end drama to large-scale studio features.”
