In a move that demonstrates The Production Guild of Great Britain’s ongoing commitment to Nations and Regions, it has hired Jonny Shelton as Membership Talent Executive, based out of the north west of England. Aside from his talent development role, Shelton’s remit will include PGGB’s inaugural membership mentoring scheme. He joins from Creative UK and over the past 6 years has worked in film and HETV and closely with PGGB.
Commenting on Shelton’s arrival, Lyndsay Duthie, PGGB’s CEO said, “This is the first time we’ve had a staff role based in the Nations and Regions and this reaffirms our commitment to rolling out that plan. We’re delighted to have Jonny join Team PGGB. His experience and knowledge of upcoming productions will be invaluable for our availability service. Jonny will also lead on our inaugural membership mentoring scheme, marking another first for the Guild. We’re excited to match up our extraordinarily talented members and follow their career journeys. Jonny will be a huge asset and we can’t wait to welcome him on board.”
Shelton is passionate about nurturing the next generation of film and TV talent in the UK and said of his new role with PGGB: “I’m keen to ensure that those working across the film and TV landscape, in all regions of the UK are able to flourish. I can’t wait to get started.”
