The admired British cinematographer Peter Biziou BSC will receive the Golden Camera 300 for Lifetime Achievement at the 44th Manaki Brothers Film Festival, to be held from 23-29 September.
Biziou won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work on 1988’s Mississippi Burning and received a BAFTA nomination for 1998’s The Truman Show. His other key credits include Monty Python’s Life of Brian, Bugsy Malone and Time Bandits. In a bumper year for the cinematographer, he is also set to be honoured with the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Lifetime Achievement Award at November’s Camerimage Film Festival.
Goran Stolevski’s new film Housekeeping for Beginners has been announced as the Manaki Brothers Film Festival’s closing title. Shot by Naum Doksevski, the film will enjoy its world premiere at Venice before coming to North Macedonia.
