Stockholm International Film Festival’s opening film Poor Things, by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos, wins the Peroni 0.0% Audience Award. The film is a magnificent and colourful odyssey that follows Bella Baxter, brilliant played by Emma Stone, a woman brought back from the dead by an unorthodox doctor, played by Willem Dafoe. This is Lanthimos’ most magnificent film to date.
During Friday’s award ceremony, the Stockholm International Film Festival jury presented this year’s winners at the festival. Now it’s the audience’s turn. Every year, Stockholm International Film Festival lets the audience choose the winner of one of the most important prizes awarded during the festival, the Peroni 0.0% Audience Award. Festival goers have been able to vote both digitally and physically in the cinemas for the 130 films screened at this year’s festival between November 8-19 2023.

Poor Things was awarded the prestigious Golden Lion for best film at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year, and can now also go down in history as the most popular film of the 2023 edition of Stockholm International Film Festival.
