Motion Impossible showcasing AGITO at Cine Gear Expo 2025

May 27, 2025

Motion Impossible is set to make a significant return to Cine Gear Expo 2025, partnering with key industry leaders to showcase the full capabilities of its AGITO modular dolly systems. The event will feature live demonstrations of the original AGITO Gen 1, the upgraded AGITO Gen 2, and the newly launched AGITO Cine, highlighting the platform’s adaptability across a broad range of cinematography applications.

AGITO Gen 1: A Proven Workhorse

The AGITO Gen 1 will be featured on ARRI’s stand (S3249), paired with the Trinity 2 remote-controlled head to demonstrate a high-performance, dynamic setup. The unit is being supplied by acclaimed Steadicam operator and AGITO advocate Randy Nolen, and will run in Sports mode with MagTrax––Motion Impossible’s innovative magnetic-guided system that delivers dolly-like precision without the logistical challenges of traditional tracks.

Since its launch in 2019, the AGITO Gen 1 has earned a reputation as a versatile and reliable tool across film, television, broadcast, live events, and sports production. Often referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife for filmmakers,” it continues to support a wide array of professional shooting environments.

AGITO Gen 2: Smarter, Faster, Sharper

Representing the next step in robotic camera movement, AGITO Gen 2 incorporates a redesigned Core and Master Controller, offering enhanced motor control, a tighter turning radius, and improved precision at all speeds. The system also benefits from an IP54 weatherproof rating and silent operation, making it well-suited for demanding environments and sensitive audio scenarios.

AGITO Gen 2 will be demonstrated in both Sports and MagTrax modes at FoMaSystems’ booth (062), using drive-ends provided by Abel Cine. The demonstrations will run in conjunction with FoMaSystems’ debut of a new broadcast remote-controlled head, further expanding the platform’s use case potential.

AGITO Cine: Power Meets Precision

The latest addition to the lineup, AGITO Cine, is designed specifically for high-end productions requiring greater payload capacity and robust performance. Featuring an enlarged Core, increased ground clearance, and an extended wheelbase, AGITO Cine supports camera and head packages up to 150kg (330lbs), including setups such as Matrix and Libra.

Ideal for feature films, prestige television series, and wildlife documentaries, the system combines strength and manoeuvrability, with MagTrax functionality enabling repeatable camera movement—essential for consistency across multiple takes.

AGITO Cine has already proven its capabilities on high-profile productions including Predators (Netflix & Sky Nature) and Concert for One for Apple Vision Pro featuring Metallica and Raye. The system will be on display at Service Vision’s booth (721), supported by CineMoves, Motion Impossible’s rental partner. Visitors can explore rental opportunities and learn how the technology is redefining motion control in large-scale productions.

Cine Gear Expo 2025 attendees will have the opportunity to see all three AGITO platforms in action, reflecting Motion Impossible’s ongoing commitment to innovation and collaboration in the field of camera movement technology.
