Outsight to Demonstrate Creamsource Micro at Cine Gear Expo 2017
May 22, 2017
Outsight, the pioneering advanced lighting technology company, will be demonstrating its full range of advanced LED technology lighting solutions at the Cine Gear Expo on stand S109 (Stage14), including the brand new Creamsource Micro, its latest addition to the acclaimed Creamsource range which was launched at NAB 2017. Outsight will also exhibit the full Creamsource+ range and Creamsource Sky full spectrum softsource, which have recently been used on high profile feature films including Fate of the Furious, Ghost in the Shell, Alien Covenant and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The Creamsource Micro is less than half the size of the Creamsource Mini+, with dimensions of (without Yoke) of 220 x 205 x 100mm (W x H x D), and weighs approximately 2.5kg. Its rugged and waterproof design with an IP65 rating, means that it can be used in all weather conditions. Despite its size, its light output is the same excellent quality as the rest of the Creamsource range and the colour temperature is adjustable from 2700 to 6500K. Drawing only 80W, it rivals the light output and punch typical of some 200W HMI Luminaires. Another key innovation of the Micro is its wide 10-32V operating voltage, allowing users to power the fixture from a single 90WH battery, or directly from a car.
Visitors to the Outsight booth at Cine Gear Expo will have the opportunity to win a Micro by collecting and wearing an Outsight T-shirt around the show. Each day, one lucky winner spotted in the T-shirt will be selected at random to receive one of the first production units.
Outsight will also be demonstrating its Creamsource+ range, which features a fourth-generation LED light engine, offering greater than 90 CRI/TLCI. The versatility of the ‘panel PAR’ provides a spot function from the panel that can be softened with traditional techniques such as diffusion, lenses and soft boxes. Creamsource+ is available in two sizes: the Doppio+ and the Mini+.
The Creamsource Sky will also be on display at Cine Gear Expo 2017. The high power full spectrum soft source, combines the latest LED technology with sophisticated colour management and compact design to deliver an incredibly wide and even beam. It has an array of six powerful LED Engines, cooled by a highly efficient and silent heat pipe system.
“We’re so excited to be coming to Cine Gear Expo, having received such great feedback about the Micro at NAB, and even winning a Best in Show award,” said Tama Berkeljon, Managing Director, Outsight. “Cine Gear Expo is a must on our calendar to meet the cinematographers, gaffers and lighting technicians that really know their stuff. Their feedback helps us to develop LEDs that solve their lighting problems and allow them to do their best work.”
