The fourth edition of the Musicbed Challenge, a short film competition with some $100k in grants and gear up for grabs, has begun.
Filmmakers have until 31 March to submit a project that fits into one of the following categories: Documentary, Spec-ad or Narrative. They must also select one or more songs from the Musicbed Challenge playlist and their final submission must include at least 10 seconds of music from the provided playlist.
This year’s judges include DP and VFX supervisor Rob Legato ASC, director Rayka Zehtabchi, and director and creative director Donnie Bauer. The judging criteria centres around Creativity, Storytelling, Sony Use and Craft.
Participants can benefit from free music, footage, sound effects and editing tools provided by the Challenge’s sponsors, Filmsupply, BOOM Library and Acidbite.
