Continuing its ‘Creativity Connected’ theme, Sony returns to this year’s Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) on 15-16 May at Olympia London to showcase its connected ecosystem of tools for the broadcast, live production, newsgathering and cinema spaces with a focus on cloud-based collaborative workflows and remote and distributed production.
Visitors to Sony’s booth can meet with Sony’s Media Solutions team and benefit from their unparalleled experience and expertise in managing content, data, workflows and devices for the world’s largest media and entertainment organisations.
Solutions on display will include Sony’s Networked Live portfolio, designed to enable production resources to be optimally connected, used and shared, regardless of location; Creators’ Cloud, a cloud-based media production ecosystem; and PDT-FP1, the recently launched portable data transmitter that allows high-speed, low-latency video and still image data transport over 5G networks.
A range of Sony’s solutions for capture, monitor, audio and virtual production will also be on display, including the FR7, Sony’s Cinema Line full-frame PTZ camera, a game-changer in live streaming; BURANO, the high-end, CineAlta digital cinema camera; a selection of production monitors from the PVM and LMD line-ups; and the HDC-3500V from Sony’s system camera line-up, featuring built in Variable ND filter.
In the virtual production realm, Sony’s Crystal LED VERONA display, which brings quality and efficiency to in-camera VFX applications, will be showcased on Big Pic Media’s stand H51.
Stuart Newton, Head of Sales, North Region Media Solutions, Sony Europe says: “We are delighted to return to MPTS, a key event for industry professionals looking to remain at the forefront of innovations in live and broadcast production technology. We look forward to connecting with industry contacts, old and new, and sharing the experience we have gained through hundreds of successful IP and cloud deployments around the world. At this MPTS we’re putting workflows at the centre of our showcase to emphasise just how much flexibility new technologies like IP, cloud and hybrid deployments are opening up.”
