Matthew Pritchard will attend the world premiere of The Road of Excess at MIFF

Noughties British TV star Matthew Pritchard will attend the world premiere of documentary The Road of Excess at the Manchester Film Festival on Friday 17th March.
Pritchard is best known for the stunt and prank TV show Dirty Sanchez, which aired from 2003-2007 and the spin-off film Dirty Sanchez: The Movie. He was also a contestant on the Channel 4 gameshow Balls of Steel.
The Road of Excess explores the pitfalls of fame and celebrity culture through the eyes of Matt Pritchard. A film that talks about toxic masculinity, mental health, addiction, fame and what happens when it’s gone.
Pritchard will attend the screening of The Road of Excess and take part in a post screening Q&A alongside director Jamie Jones.
The Road of Excess screens on Friday 17th March at 6:30PM.
Also attending the festival over the final weekend will be actress and producer Antonia Thomas, who will be taking part in a post-screening Q&A for the horror film Anacoreta on Saturday 18th March.
Thomas who is both lead actress and producer on the film is known for her roles on hit series Misfits, The Good Doctor and Small Axe, as well as film work in Spike Island and Northern Soul.
In Anacoreta an actress heads on a mountain trip with her boyfriend to meet his friends for the first time. As they head out it becomes clear that he is filming his latest project, and he has more planned than they realize.
Anacoreta screens on Saturday 18th March at 12:30PM and Thomas will be joined by director Jeremy Schuetze and other members of the cast and crew.
