Leverage Point Entertainment, a sustainability agency working across film, television and the wider creative industries, has announced a strategic partnership with Natural Bounce Solutions, a modular bounce lighting system developed by an experienced on-set DP-gaffer team.
Under the partnership, Natural Bounce Solutions becomes a recommended solution within Leverage Point Entertainment’s consultancy and training work, positioning it among the first UK‑based sustainability agencies to formally endorse a “crew‑developed, department‑level lighting system”.

Addressing an on-set challenge
As sustainability requirements tighten across UK and European funding frameworks, led by organisations such as the BFI, Creative Europe, and major broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix, productions face increasing pressure to reduce environmental impact. Practical, on-set solutions, however, have remained limited.
Natural Bounce Solutions targets one of the most energy-intensive areas of production: artificial lighting. By combining modular butterfly frames with reflective surfaces designed to match real-world environments, the system enables crews to shape naturalistic light using existing conditions, reducing reliance on additional fixtures, generators and power.

A system built around natural light
The system is based on a simple premise: the most convincing light is achieved by reflecting what already exists within an environment rather than overpowering it with artificial sources. It comprises modular butterfly frame bases paired with interchangeable reflective surfaces, allowing crews to adapt quickly on set.
A carefully developed colour palette, including Sky-White-Forest and Sky-White-Canyon, produces consistent, environment-matched reflections that hold up on camera.
Suitable for both location and studio work, the system reduces generator dependency outdoors while enabling more integrated lighting approaches in controlled environments. By achieving consistency in-camera, it can also reduce the need for corrective grading in post-production.
When incorporated at the pre-production stage, the system allows production designers to factor reflective materials into set design, reducing both build requirements and lighting equipment on the day.
