As sponsors of the Photography & Lighting: Fiction category at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards, the ScreenSkills High-end Television Skills Fund presents a discussion featuring some of this year’s nominated cinematographers.
In this one-hour session we’ll hear from talented professionals, including Small Axe‘s Shabier Kirchner, on the craft of cinematography, personal paths into the industry and, of course, their work on the nominated productations.
Born and raised in Antigua and Barbuda, Shabier Kirchner travels the world as cinematographer and was selected as one of the 10 Cinematographers to Watch by Variety (April 2018).
His works on features and tv shows include Small Axe (directed by Steve McQueen) Bull, Only You, Skate Kitchen, Sollers Point, Wendy. He has also worked on commercials and music videos and additionally shoots his own works at home. Dadli (2018) was Shabier’s first work as Director/DP.
There will be time allocated for a Q&A at the end of the session.
