Euras Films exists to create a space in which people from all backgrounds can contribute to the creative sphere.

The company is a female-led film and theatre production company dedicated to innovative story telling that showcases authentic representation.

There needs to be more representation and diversity within film, and Euras works to providing a platform for people to have a voice. They aim to tell stories that are relevant, because they are grounded in the reality of people’s lives.

Representation in film and creativity is key. Euras Films believe we need to acknowledge people’s contributions, enabling them to have a space to create. Sarudzayi Marufu, Euras Films LTD founder and executive producer, is concerned that the real lives of marginalised voices aren’t fully represented in film and that the space for these voices needs to be opened up in all aspects of the film industry.

Marufu summarised: “Our creatives have something to say – we provide the platform. Everyone has a voice – we want to people to speak up.”

The company’s works include the upcoming All The Wives In Attics and Brown Sugar with additional films expected to complete production mid-May.
