John E Fry won Best Cinematography at the I Am Film Festival for his lensing of the short film Confines.
“I am delighted to see John get such great recognition at the festival,” says director Richard Bazley. “This (Confines) is our second film together, our first was Censure and collectively we now have over 60 awards with both films. We met a few years ago on a film project that is still on hold but we clicked right away and the chemistry is clear to see onscreen.”
“We had a bit of a snow storm days before the shoot which was worrying but it all worked out for the better as snow layered landscapes at Corsham Court and the aMazing Hedge Puzzle (Wales) looked phenomenal. John was also in his element with his steadicam darting down the maze.”
Screenwriter Neil Bason scribes his second film for Bazley as part of the winning team. There were Honourable Mentions for Luke F Dejahang (Best Actor) and Richard Bazley (Best Director).
