IBC2024 has announced a range of new features designed to boost networking, learning, collaboration, and business opportunities at this year’s event, scheduled for 13th-16th September at the RAI Amsterdam. Highlights include the AI Tech Zone, the IBC Talent Programme, and the inaugural AV Speed Pitch Event. These additions will emphasise the event’s main themes: Transformative Technology, Shifting Business Models, and People and Purpose.

The AI Tech Zone, located in Hall 14 and powered by EBU, will serve as a hub for AI providers, technology creators, and solution vendors. Sponsored by Wasabi Technologies, the AI Tech Zone Stage will feature talks from industry leaders on AI’s transformative impact on media and entertainment. The networking zone, sponsored by DOT Group, will facilitate direct engagement with innovative AI pioneers. Exhibitors include AI4ME, AudioShake, Magnifi, MobiusLabs, The Weather Company, Video.Taxi, Vionlabs, Zaibr, and Videolinq.ai.
On Monday, 16th September, the IBC Talent Programme will take place in the Showcase Theatre in Hall 8. These free sessions will discuss nurturing new talent, making training accessible, and developing diversity and inclusion standards within the M&E community. The programme aims to establish a foundation for the industry’s future by promoting partnerships and mentoring, skill development, and engagement with next-generation media professionals.
Additionally, IBC2024 will introduce a special Audio Visual (AV) buyers’ event on the eve of the show. In collaboration with the AV User Group, the IBC Speed Pitch Event on 12th September will allow media technology companies to pitch their products and services to major AV purchasers, including Arup, AstraZeneca, Bank of America, Barclays, Deliveroo, Schroders, UBS, and WPP.
