Have your story broadcast by Warner Bros. Discovery in the UK for Black History Month

May 31, 2022

Black Britain Unspoken aims to discover new talent and identify stories about Black British lives.

Media Trust and Warner Bros. Discovery will produce a small number of short-form documentaries (max. 5 mins) from the submissions received, to be aired on Warner Bros. Discovery platforms during Black History Month 2022.

Creatives will go through an industry pitching process at Warner Bros. Discovery’s London offices and, if their project is greenlit, be provided with a production budget, production support, and have their expenses covered, as well as the support of a mentor from Warner Bros. Discovery.

The project will help you gain experience in pitching to industry leading commissioners and Black British filmmaking talent, as well as working with exec producers and creatives to bring your ideas to life in film.

No previous filmmaking experience is required.

To be eligible for the project, you must:

  • Identify as Black and British
  • Be aged 18 or above
  • Be based in the UK
  • Have no more than three broadcast credits as a Director or Producer

You can apply for Black Britain Unspoken by sharing your story using the form here.
